This was the claim made on the packaging of the revolutionary product, a Beauty Awards 2013 winner no doubt! So when I found them in the reduced section of my local Salon Services I snapped them up, for a mere £9.88 :-) Previously I have seen them at over £20. Could this be the bargain of the week, or yet another item to take up space in the cupboard or even end up at the next carboot clearout??
Having time on my hands in the afternoon (due to awaiting the repair of my car) I put them in and awaited bedtime!
I really, REALLY wanted to love this product, my hair is somewhat limp and lack lustre and the thought of waking up and having bouncy curls was very appealing. However the reality falls far short of the promise.
These are extremely uncomfortable, they do not flatten flat as advertised, the velcro is prickly against your head and the glittery cover crinkles as you move about. Being so large and not 'flattening like a sponge' your head sticks up from the pillow causing a poor sleeping position and a strain on your neck.
After a disturbed sleep I gave up at 4am and removed half of them and managed to get some deeper sleep! But what about the side that had been left in? Bearing in mind they have been in for over 12 hours, there was 'a little' extra oomph with a curl under but it was not enough to warrant the sleepless night to get it! I can achieve the same with my hot brush.
So often we are oversold on promises with products that fail to deliver the hype... reminds me a bit of the current political situation!
Verdict: to be given the Car-BOOT!

A tourist at home!
I am blessed to live in a beautiful village that has some great local walks, however after being here 10 years I realised that there are some that I have not been out and investigated. So finding myself without a car and with an absolutely gorgeous spring day, I felt I had to get out and about and take a look!
Driving this road I always saw the Tree house, but took a closer look today, needs some work I do think...... Didn't venture up into it as it woudl have caused a crash in the house price!
The footpath is just a little way past this local landmark, and Arthur was delighted to be able to run free for a bit, even if the grass was just a little to long, so he kinda bounced his way along.

I have to say that being out and about today sure beats sat at home, It does make me think hard about the area I live in and just how much time I don't spend in it. I tend to live in my little online bubble and am way to out of tune with nature.
Now, the next spot of the walk was not so easy to find as there was no Public Footpath sign, I do wonder if this is another that a local has removed as it does cut across the tops of fields with sheep in. This has happened before in our area on the other side, and you may have even been met by the farmer and his shotgun to try to deter people from using the footpath. Now I am not saying this is the case here, but I did double check on my map that this was the right place.
And what a view!
All in all it was only 2 miles, mainly as I took a wrong turn at one of the hedges and therefore turned left to soon, which I think Arthur was very grateful for as his legs are only little even if there are 4 of them!
Sometimes, it pays to be a tourist at home as I am fortunate to live in a place where people need to plan a visit. And something I really need to do more of!
